About Us
Since opening its doors in 2000, Wellspring Westerkirk House has consistently been one of the busiest centres in the Wellspring network.
Newly expanded in 2010 Wellspring Westerkirk House houses a demonstration kitchen, exercise room, children’s centre, lecture room with a 60-person capacity, art therapy studio and a support room dedicated to young adults with cancer. In addition to the regular Wellspring program roster, which includes individual and group support, coping skills and educational presentations and workshops, the newly-expanded centre has added the following
new programs:
- Nourish, which provides education and hands-on demonstrations about the unique nutrition needs of cancer patients
- Cancer Exercise, a unique and clinically-proven fitness program that improves the physical and emotional well-being of cancer patients; and
- Child-minding, a service that allows Wellspring members to access childcare while attending programs on-site.
